Rome Wasn't Built in A Day!! Are you Overscheduled in Your Day to Day Life?

In America's fast paced society, it is a common goal for people to "pack it all into one day". Carpe Diem or Seize the Moment is a motto that many Type A- get it done personality types embrace. But what are we sacrificing in our efforts to conquer the world? Are you sacrificing sleep, time with your family, or your personal or mental sanity in order to check off number 4 on your daily "To Do List"? While productivity is a valued and sought after attribute, it is important to plan for down time. A critical part of establishing both emotional and physical balance is scheduling time off each week and planning down time in your day to rejuvenate and reflect. A good way of ensuring that you are able to grab a few moments of time for yourself is to schedule time for yourself or a join a class or activity that forces you to stop and take a breather. Positive self-talk is an important aspect of motivating yourself to keep a positive perspective if you are unable to accomplish your ambitious to-do list.
