Puzzles, Puzzles, & More Puzzles

Puzzles are a great way of learning to self-regulate    Self-regulation is a learned process that individuals use to regain or  maintain emotional and mental balance.  Puzzles require attention to detail, focus, and sustained concentration.   When individuals are overwhelmed and go into the "fight or flight" mode, they may experience difficulty with concentration and focus.  Due to the tedious nature of puzzles, individuals are able to distract themselves and focus on the "hear and now" which may result in dealing with the situation at hand- the puzzle versus negative feelings/emotions    Try a puzzle and let us know what you think.
