The Art of Balance

In today's hectic world,  many people feel like they must go, go, and go.    However, it is important to remember that the hare did not win the race, and like to tortoise, slow and steady is the way to go.   So, what are some ways that you can restore balance in your life?   The first step in making this type of behavioral change is to remember that you are in control of your emotions,  and you can make time for your self.

1. Listen to your inner voice- what is your dream for yourself?
2. What inspires you?



3. Ground yourself!!  Participate in grounding activities such as exercise, prayer, meditation, walking, volunteering to promote feelings of well-being, thankfulness, and gratitude.   


Accept the things that happened in the past to help you move forward. 
When you are able to stop, listen to your inner voice, and accept painful or upsetting memories, you are on  the first steps toward emotional balance.   Remember forgiveness is not about the other person, but it is about one's self.
